Shane shot tuskless cow on first afternoon when she charged at 8 yards after several attempts to get in a position to shoot her. The first shot too high, but stopped and turned the cow. Short tracking session before putting in another shot and she went down. The penetration on the 470 was excellent.

We saw numerous buffalo on our hunt. It was a fantastic experience tracking up lots of different buffalo. We then followed a big herd for a couple of hours and caught them late afternoon feeding near the Mozambique border. We got into a good position and shot a very good old 38’ buffalo bull, which was giving us a broadside shot at +/- 60 yards. Shane gave it a perfect heart shot. Barns TSX 300gr bullet recovered under skin on opposite shoulder – perfect performance.

It was my pleasure to guide Shane on his first African safari. He was a pleasure to hunt with and had me in stitches the whole time and I look forward to hunting with Shane next year!

Going to Africa for the first time i was somewhat apprehensive, not really knowing what to expect, but as soon as Miles picked me up in Harare I felt safe and comfortable the rest of the trip.

Hunting elephant the first day was incredible, I was in awe of their size and speed, wasn't really sure I wanted to hunt elephant. Luckily most of them smelled Allen's cologne and ran off, until that afternoon we spotted a tuskless and man she got pissed. Charging thru the brush I didnt have a clear shot until she was right on top of us. What a rush. I dont know how to top that.

The third day we tracked buffalo all day, watching the trackers was really cool, they are amazing. Allen put me on a huge buffalo right at last light, I didnt mind he didnt charge us one bit.

Fishing on the Zambezi, hunting plains game, it was all excellent. Everyone treated me great and my P.H. was awesome.
