The hunt started off well as we managed to get one trophy impala and 3 impala females within the first 3 days. So we had baits set up for leopard early in the hunt. There was a lot of leopard activity and by day 4 we had 5 leopard on bait. By day 4 we needed more bait so we went after some buffalo early in the morning and by 8am we had a very nice old dagga boy down. Volker made a fantastic shot at about 20 yards and he went down on the first shot.

We then replenished baits with fresh buff and on day 5 we had two males feed. We opted for the better of the two and set up a blind at 100 yards from our bait. At 4:40pm the leopard arrived at the bait but we only managed to get a shot off at 5:10pm. Once again Volker made a good shot and the leopard was dead under the tree. A nice male leopard.

We saw a few good waterbuck over the next few days but could never get a shot. On day 11 we managed to get a shot at a nice old bull, we had to track him down for a few hours but managed to get him. We ended off the hunt looking for a zebra but never managed to get one.
