First few days we struggled getting bait for leopard, but managed to collect 5 impala for bait.

On day 4 we had a nice tom walk past a bait but did not feed and never came back. Due to rain and humid weather the impala baits only lasted two days before being too rotten. Fortunately, Bryce Cooke shot a buffalo on about the 6th day so we used 4 legs for baits on about day 8 we got a tom feeding in the morning until 5:50. Unfortunately John could not see it to shoot.

We then went on to track some buffalo and after a long track with bad wind we managed to shoot a mature bull.

The next morning we were back in the blind and the leopard got up and started to walk away. John saw him and made the shot (5:40). The shot was a little far back, but after a slow follow up in the jesse we found him dead. (The buffalo was shot with a .416 Rigby and Leopard with .30-06) two bullets (Northfork bonded soft points) were recovered from the buff, both mushroomed with good weight retention and penetration.
