We hunted a total of 4 days and looked
over 100 elephants. On the 2nd day Bruce shot an elephant cow with a quartering on frontal brain shot at 20 yards.
|
 |
She dropped at the first shot and we found the
bullet had exited 35". An insurance shot was recovered and the
bullet was recovered in perfect condition.

On the 4th day we moved north to the Zambezi.
We tracked a herd that winded us and we could not catch up. Instead
we walked into a spring near the Mozambique boarder. We were lucky to
find a tuskless which Bruce shot through thick jess at about 25 yards.
She dropped at the first fronta brain shot. |

The next 2 days were spent on the Zambezi River
exploring the Mpata Gorge. Highlights apart from the two ele's were
the numerous close encounters with the elephants. Never mind the lion
and leopard 5 metres from Chri's bed!! This was Chris's first trip
to Africa.

| This
hunt is my 7th to Africa and Chris's first. Buzz Charlton's hunting
skills are only exceeded by his social skills and his ability to take
very good care of us. He was kind enough to drive us out to camp so
that we could see the country and all the wildlife. We saw over 100
elephants and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
