Day 4, shot buffalo at 300 yards – quatering on in the center of chest, but the buffalo turned enough that the bullet went into the right shoulder and was wounded. Tracked until dark and continued the following day. Tracked him into long grass and he lay down. The buffalo winded the trackers who were up wind from him. He stood up between the trackers and Don and Alan down wind. Alan called and he turned towards us and took a frontal shot, the buffalo collapsed at 60 yards. the buffalo was killed in a different area, so could not recover any bullets.
