First cow was shot on the morning of the 5 day. She was located in a small group close to the valley. Approach was good, John took a side brain shot at about 15 yards, missed the brain, tried to tip with second shot but failed. Then the cow turned trying to run away but fell to a frontal brain from the PH. Second cow was shot that afternoon. John tried a frontal but failed at 25 yards, second shot tried for a brain. PH shot bit high on the shoulder. After a chase the wounded Tuskless was killed by a lung shot by the PH. The elephant bull was shot on the 7th day in the morning, again at 20 yards frontal brain. Two shots in the head wounding the bull. PH put two shots heart/lung and the bull died shortly after. Northfork bullets did not perform well but the Woodleys performed well.
