Day 2 - 10

2nd – Max arrived after waiting an extra day in Harare for his guns. Sight in rifle- perfect. Spent the rest of the day driving looking for elephant tracks.

3rd – More driving looking for elephant movement. Found a very big track but not fresh.

4th – More driving, some walking down the Chewore.

5th – Tracked very big bull from 8am to 4:30pm but never caught him, found cows only. Passed up big Dagga boy +/-40 inches.

6th – Tracked another good bull near Chewore for 5 hours. Found him eating baobab. +/- 35lbs, nice and long. Passed him up.

7th – tracked more bulls-young.

8th – Tracked big bull near Mkanga for 5 hours. Found him in the herd with another bull. Basically forced himself on us. Max made a perfect frontal shot at 8 paces. 27lbs Bull.

9th – Buff hunting: passed up lots of buffalo after nice long hunt.

10th – Buffalo again to Mkanga Valley. Found herd but too late gone to Dande.

Day 11

Tracked 3 separate herds, in Mkanga. Passed up lots of bulls looking for very old buffalo. On the way back to L/C saw a lone dagga boy near the river. Nice stalk to 15 paces, Max dropped him with first shot. 44.5 inch bull with 12 inch bassed – lace!

Day 12 - 17
Moved to Chinyika in Kwekwe. Shot 2 impala bait and 1 zebra after 2 hours tracking. Looked for Sable but passed up on them all, measuring between 34 & 36 inches.

Client Comments

I had a great time with Myles shot a dugga boy at 15 paces that measured 44.5 inches. A wonderful hunt also shot an elephant bull at 8 paces, frontal brain shot whilst at half charge. All hunting in the Jess at Chewore South.

Good food, good drink, good company and good hunting. What more could a person ask.
